Kid rescued 27 hrs after his abduction
Police yesterday rescued a schoolboy and arrested three people from a guesthouse in Chandra area of Gazipur, 27 hours after he was abducted.
The boy, Sajib Shuvo, 8, son of Shipul Sardar of Sandira village in Adamdighi upazila of the district, is a Class II student at Shaheed Siraj Khan Memorial Academy School.
The arrestees are Zakir Hossain, 22, son of Farman Ali of Bamni village in the upazila, Naim Islam, 23, son of Rafiqul Islam of Uthrail village, and Sagar Ahmed, 22, son of Dulal Ahmed of Chaksabaj village.
Police said Shuvo was abducted while he was returning home from school around 12:00pm on February 26. Shuvo's father filed a general diary with Adamdighi Police Station.
After tracking the mobile number of the abductors, police traced it to a guesthouse in Chandra.
Adamdighi police then took help of Kaliakair Police Station. Sub-inspector Raja Mia and a team of the police station raided a guest house at Chandra bus-stop and rescued the child around 3:30pm yesterday.
