JSC, JDC exams start
The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations began this morning with 24,12,775 examinees taking part from 28,761 educational institutions across the country.
The three-hour examination started around 10:00am.
The JSC candidates are taking Bangla first paper tests on the first day, while the JDC students sitting for Quran Mazid and Tazbid. The exams will end on November 17.
Over 20.38 lakh students would sit for the JSC exams under eight general education boards and around 3.74 lakh students would take the JDC exams under madrasa education board.
Nahid visits school
Prior to the beginning of the examination, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid visited Dhanmondi Government Boys’ High School to see the preparation of the examinations around 9:30am.
The minister accompanied by Education Secretary Sohorab Hossain visited an exam hall. After an hour, they left school, said Subodh Chandra Dhali, senior assistant secretary of the ministry.
