33 rescued at Bay in assist of Indian Navy

A total of 33 persons were rescued and a dead body recovered from the Bay of Bengal as Indian Navy, along with their Bangladesh counterpart, was engaged in rescue operation.
Indian High Commission in Dhaka issued a message declaring the rescue and said there was likelihood of more stranded in the sea after the cyclonic storm Mora.

Currently located 90 nautical miles south of Chittagong, the INS Sumitra, an offshore patrol vessel, is working with Bangladesh Navy in the rescue operation.
INS Sumitra is also carrying relief materials which will be disembarked in Chittagong once Bangladesh Navy takes over the rescue operation.
