Indian held with gold

Border Security force (BSF) arrested an Indian national with 17 gold bars worth Tk 85 lakh from Indian gate area opposite to Benapole check post yesterday.

The arrestee is Firoj Mahmud, 45, of Gardnas area in Kolkata.

Haradhon Sarkar, deputy commander of Benapole check post BGB camp, said acting on a tip-off, BSF raided the area and arrested Firoj with the gold bars.
