Girl student dies as scarf gets tangled with wheel

A student of first year (honours) was suffocated to death yesterday when her scarf got tangled with the wheel of an easy-bike at Orakanda village in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.

The deceased was Sorna Akter, 18, daughter of Shakawat Sheikh of Rajpart village, and a student of Ramdia SK Government College. 

Locals said the incident occurred when she was going home from college by an easy-bike, adding that she was rushed to Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared her dead.
