Garage owner stabbed dead

A man was stabbed to death allegedly by two neighbouring youths at Sapgram Kurshapara village in Sadar upazila early yesterday.

The deceased, Mohammad Shahinur Alam, 39, was owner of a motor garage in the area.

Meanwhile, police arrested the two alleged killers Mohammad Salam, 27, and Mohammad Sohag, 21, from their houses yesterday morning, police said.

The duo stabbed Shahinur in the abdomen in front of his garage while he was busy with his mobile phone around 2:00am, leaving him dead on the spot, police said. 

Deceased's family members claimed that Salam and Sohan, two local drug addicts, had been demanding toll from Shahinur for long, which the latter declined to give.
