Elderly man hit by train, dies

A 62-year-old man was killed after being hit by a commuter train in Naogaon's Atrai upazila yesterday morning.

The deceased, Monsur Rahman, son of late Ahsan Pramanik, was a resident of Madhaimuri village in the upazila.

Police quoted witnesses as saying that a speedy train hit Monsur while he was crossing the rail tracks in Shahgola area around 9:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.
