DC arranges iftar for slum people
The deputy commissioner (DC) of the district arranged iftar for around 400 ultra-poor people living in the slums and railway station on Monday evening.
“We usually arrange iftar mahfil with those people who have ability to buy delicious food items. I have decided to distribute some quality iftar items for the poor this time,” said Shaheena Khatun, DC of Natore.
Shahera Begum, 70, now living in Natore Railway Station area, said this is for the first time in her long life that she got iftar from any DC.
