Daily Star journo wins 'best reporters award'

'Best Reporters Award', offered by Mymensingh Press Club, was given to five reporters from the district at a programme at the club auditorium on Saturday.

The reporters are Md Aminul Islam of The Daily Star, Md Babul Hossain of Ekattor Television and Janakantha, Sheikh Mohiuddin Ahmed of Channel i and Ittefaq, Abdus Samad Azadi of Samachar and Ataur Rahman Jewel of Ekushey Television.

The club authority distributed the award for the years 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

As the chief guest, Prime Minister's Media Affairs Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said the journalists working from district level have to face more challenges than those in Dhaka and there are many dedicated journalists outside Dhaka.
