Case against 3 leaders for harrasment

Says PCJSS (MN Larma)

Leaders of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samghati Samiti (PCJSS-MN Larma) yesterday said filing of a case against three central leaders  was politically motivated and for harassment.

PCJSS Central Information and Publicity Secretary Sudhakar Tripura said this  at a press conference at Khagrapur community centre.

Speakers at the press conference said the motive behind filing of the case against the leaders after the killing of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) leader Mithun Chakma is to harass the leaders and workers. They demanded withdrawal of the case.

Three days after the murder, police filed a murder case with Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station, accusing seven to eight unnamed people.

Mithun's cousin Ani Bikash Chakma also filed a case against 17 people with a Khagrachhari court on January 9, accusing three leaders of PCJSS (MN Larma) -- Tattinder Lal Chakma, Shaktiman Chakma, Sudarshan Chakma, and 14 others.

On the other hand, some organisations brought out a procession in Khagrachhari town yesterday, demanding arrest of Mithun's killers.
