Bank booth to remain open on holidays

The Sonali Bank booth at Akhaura land port will remain open on Fridays and Saturdays from now on to facilitate payment of travel tax by travellers while going to India.

The bank schedule has been changed considering the convenience of the travellers and the new rules are going to be effective soon, said Akhaura Land Port Export Import Association President Shafiqul Islam.

 Deputy Commissioner Rezwanur Rahman said the booth will remain open from 7:30am to 6:30pm on weekly and public holidays.
