They hurled a crude bomb at law enforcers and tried to flee during a routine check in a passenger bus around 12:00pm, said Nasir Uddin Mridha, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandina Police Station.
The bomb did not explode, he said.

Police chased down Hasan, 22, hailing from Patia, and Jashim, 20, by firing shots at them, he added.
Jashim has pallet injuries in his body, Sub-inspector Monir, in-charge of the temporary police check point at Kutumbopur, said.
Both the arrestees were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital, the SI said.
A shoulder bag containing several handmade bombs was seized from their possession, he added.
Police are investigating whether they have any link with militancy, he said.
Yesterday, suspected militants hurled several bombs at a convoy of four prison vans, one of which was carrying condemned Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (Huji) chief Mufti Abdul Hannan.
Police suspect the attack was carried out to snatch away the top militant.
