Ashulia labour unrest: Another case filed, 21 more sacked
Sixty more apparel workers and unknown 1,000 people were sued in another case filed with the Ashulia Police Station last night on charges of looting and vandalising the factories.
With the case, a total of three cases were filed against the workers on the similar charges, said Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Today, the authorities of Windy Apparels Ltd added names of 21 more workers in the sack list, our local correspondent reports. The factory sacked 121 more workers over their alleged involvement in the labour unrest yesterday.

At least five more garment factories were shut yesterday in the face of the labour unrest, raising the number of closed factories to 60.
Officials of two closed factories -- Windy Apparels Ltd and Fountain Garments -- filed two cases with Ashulia Police Station last night against 239 workers, 39 named and 200 unnamed, for looting and vandalising the factories, Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of the station, told journalists.
Law enforcers are guarding the closed factories today while no workers were seen demonstrating since morning, our correspondent said.
