800 Pabna BNP-JCD men sued
Over 800 leaders and activists of Pabna district unit BNP and its student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) have been sued in connection with Monday's clash between police and BNP-JCD men.
Md Nurul Amin, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, on Monday night filed the case for attacking police while they were discharging their duties in the town.
Nine policemen were injured during the attack, said Md Abdur Razzak, officer-in-charge of the police station.
At least 26 BNP and JCD activists were arrested following the clash with the law enforcers that left over 30 people, including nine policemen, injured on Monday.
The injured include BNP central leader Hasan Zafir Tuhin, district General Secretary Habibur Rahman Tota, Office Secretary Johurul Islam and activist Abul Kashem. Kashem was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile, constables Masum Hossain and Mohsin Ali were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital, said police.
