University Grant Commission (UGC) Chairman Abdul Mannan urged Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) people to work together forgetting all political discrimination to make Rangamati Science and Technology University (RMSTU) one of the best globally.

He said this at the land handover programme to the university at Rangamati DC's office yesterday.

“I hope RMSTU will begin its 2019 academic session in its own building and CHT people will get priority in terms of enrolment and teaching,” he added.

Rangamati district administration handed over documents of 64 acres of land to the UGC chairman for the university.

RMSTU authorities said they started its academic activities at a rented house in Rangamati town in 2015.
