Comfortable win for Aussies
Australia won its last Match of World T20 against Bangladesh in Super 10 in their last match of World T20 Super 10 in Sher-e Bangla National Stadium today.
Aaron Finch was awarded Man of the Match for his 71-run innings that made the Aussie victory easier.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first and put a handsome target of 154 in front of Australia.
Ace batsman Shakib Al Hasan and the captain Mushfiqur Rahim scored 66 and 47 runs respectively off 52 and 36 balls.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, as usual, played a low-scoring innings while the other opener Anamul Haque went out for a duck.
Australia added 15 extra runs to the Tigers’ board.
In reply, Australian openers –Finch and David Warner – took the Aussie innings to a comfortable zone by scoring 71 and 48 respectively.
Aussies reached the target with 7 wickets and 15 balls remaining.
Seamer Taskin Ali, debut today in his first T20 international for Bangladesh, picked up a wicket while other pacer Al-Amin Hossain got 2 wickets to his name.
Nathan Coulter-Nile picked up 2 wickets for the Australian side while Mitchell Starc, Doug Bolinger and Shane Watson picked up one wicket each.
In Group 2, both of the teams already played 3 matches each and lost all of them.
