A youth was stabbed to death by unknown miscreants in Miakhannagar area of Chattogram early yesterday.

The deceased is Saidul Islam Rakib, 23, of Kumilla. He was declared dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

There was an altercation among Saidul and some others while working at a community centre. Saidul might have been stabbed following that, said Kabir Hossain, inspector (investigation) of Bakalia Police Station.

One Monir Hossain, 22, had been arrested from New Market area in this regard, he added.
