Workshop for trainers starts in Sylhet

A three-day workshop for trainers, who are working in different NGOs for ensuring women's right of access to information, started in Sylhet city yesterday.

Manusher Jonno Foundation organised the workshop at Hotel Supreme where 25 such trainers are being trained under the project “Advancing Women's Right of Access to Information”, which is simultaneously being implemented in Dhaka, Sylhet and Khagrachari districts. 

The Institute of Development Affairs (IDEA), and Management and Resources Development Institute (MRDI) facilitated the workshop which was also supported by USAID and The Carter Centre.

Shahin Kauser, deputy programme manager of Manusher Jonno Foundation, moderated the workshop where Chief Information Commissioner Dr Md Golam Kibria was present as chief guest.

Information Commissioner Nepal Chandra Sarkar, Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Rahat Anwar, and Deputy Director of Divisional Information Office Julia Jesmin Mili were present as special guests.

Sumona Sultana Mahmud, chief of party of The Carter Centre, Nazmul Haque, executive director of IDEA, and Hasibur Rahman, executive director of MRDI, were also present.

ব্যাংক থেকে সরকারের ঋণ নেওয়া কমতে পারে

চলতি অর্থবছরে বার্ষিক উন্নয়ন কর্মসূচির (এডিপি) ধীরগতি বাস্তবায়ন ও মূল্যস্ফীতি নিয়ন্ত্রণের প্রচেষ্টাও ব্যাংক থেকে ঋণ নেওয়া কমাতে ভূমিকা রাখবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে।
