Water levels of 56 rivers rise, 32 fall

Water levels at 56 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 32 stations recorded fall and thirty are above danger level.

Among the 90 monitored water level stations, one registered steady, a bulletin issued by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) said yesterday.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Ganges-Padma rivers are in rising trend while Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in falling trend.

A total of 255.2mm rainfall was recorded at Chandpur station, 160mm at Comilla, 98mm at Sylhet and 48mm at Kanaighat during the last 24 hours ending at 6:00am yesterday.
