Undergraduate math Olympiad held

Shovon Sourav Datta, a student of applied mathematics department of Dhaka University won the 1st position in the 9th Dhaka South Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad 2017 held at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) yesterday, said a press release. 

Bangladesh Mathematical Society and AF Mujibur Rahman Foundation organised the programme, hosted by the department of basic sciences and humanities of UAP.

Professor Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury, vice chancellor of UAP, handed over crests and certificates to the first 10 winners who will join in the final round of National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad 2017 to be held next month. Some 76 participants from different universities of Dhaka South zone took part in the contest.
