Two sentenced to death in Ctg

A court in Chittagong yesterday sentenced two persons to death for killing a man in Hathazari upazila in 2012.

Judge Ferdous Ara of Additional Disrtrict and Sessions Judge's Court 7 yesterday passed the order after scrutinising all facts and evidences.

The convicts are Ali Azam, 25, and Mohammad Alam, 24, said Additional Public Prosecutor Delwar Hossain.

According to the case records, the duo snatched Tk 2,90,000 from Akhter, a CNG-run autorickshaw driver, killed him and dumped his body in the bush.

His body was recovered from the hilly area of Chittagong University on October 3, 2012.
