Two killed in road accidents

At least two persons were killed and another injured in separate road accidents yesterday.

School girl Morefa Akhter, 6, student of Afseruddin Memorial Pre-cadet school in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha was killed after being hit by an auto-rickshaw on Sadullapur-Madarganj road, reports our local correspondent.

Her class mate Rafi Mia was admitted to a local hospital after sustaining injuries in the incident.

Meanwhile in Chittagong, Leading Seaman (LS) of Bangladesh Navy Arman Siddique, 33, was killed after his motorbike collided head-on with a container lorry at Airport road in the port city, police said.

A case has been lodged in this regard.
