Two jail guards, 1 NGO worker held with cannabis

Police arrested three persons, including two probationary jail guards, with cannabis in different places in Rajshahi city on Friday night.

Golam Azam and Ferdous Rahman, both 21, who joined Prisons Training Institute, Rajshahi on last December 31, were arrested at Kasiadanga check post while they were returning in an auto-rickshaw with the cannabis worth Tk 100. Meanwhile, another police team arrested Shafiqul Islam, 45, employee of an NGO in Rajshahi city, with 200 grammes of cannabis at a check post in Balia.
