Sylhet student stabbed by 'fellow'

A college student was stabbed allegedly by one of his fellows in Amberkhana area in Sylhet yesterday afternoon.

Jewel Ahmed, 18, a student Royal MC Academy, has been admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Jewel was stabbed by a classmate following an altercation in front of a restaurant in the area, said Gousul Alam, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Kotwali Police Station, quoting witnesses. “We are looking into the matter,” he said.
