Siblings held with 1 lakh yaba pills

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive yesterday arrested two brothers and recovered one lakh yaba pills from them. 

The arrestees' Md Mobarak Hossen, 37, and Mohammad Solaiman, 25 were arrested from AK Khan area in the port city, the law enforcers said.

A patrol team of Rab-7 suspected their movement and stopped them at AK Khan area, later searching their bags, one lakh yaba pills worth Tk 5 crore, Tk 25,000 cash and a cheque of Tk 70,000 were recovered from their possession, the law enforcers added.

They one pieces of the contraband tablet were bought from Teknaf, said the Rab official.

A case was lodged in this connection.
