Shamim Osman postpones Feb 3 rally

Awami League leader and lawmaker Shamim Osman has postponed a rally he had called for February 3.

He was speaking to the media in Adalatpara area of Narayanganj yesterday.

Shamim Osman said, “We wanted to stage the first rally in Narayanganj to energise the whole country. As I could not finalise the decision with the AL district and city units, this programme has been postponed.”

Narayanganj district AL President Abdul Hye, General Secretary Abu Hasnat Shahid Badal and city AL General Secretary Khokan Saha were present.

Earlier on January 27, Osman called the rally for February 3 at a meeting at Osmani stadium in Narayanganj city’s Isdair area.
