Shakib Khan sends divorce papers to Apu

Dhallywood star Shakib Khan has sent divorce papers to his actress wife Apu Biswas.

Shakib sent the papers to Apu's Niketon residence in the capital on November 28 through his lawyer Sheikh Sirajul Islam, who confirmed the development to The Daily Star yesterday afternoon.

The duo has long been a fan favourite couple of the silver screen but “Shakib has decided to end the marriage as Apu did not comply with his command,” said the lawyer, citing the papers.

Moreover, Apu went to India leaving their only son with a house help, the papers also mentioned.

The couple got married on April 18, 2008 but they kept mum about it.

Apu disclosed their marriage before the media on April 10 this year when she appeared with their baby boy.
