Shah Md Munir Sharif passes away

Advocate Shah Md Munir Sharif, a Supreme Court lawyer and former treasurer of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), passed away yesterday at Popular Hospital in Dhaka due to liver diseases, said a press release. He was 48.

He left behind his wife, one daughter and a host of admirers to mourn his death, said Nimesh Chandra Das, superintendent of the SCBA.

His namaz-e-janaza was held at the SC premises. It was attended by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, among others.

He was buried at his family graveyard in capital's Mugda area.
