Road crashes kill three

Three people were killed and five others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.

Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, two persons were killed and five others injured when two buses collided head-on on Rangpur-Dinajpur highway at Boragiganj village in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.

The dead were Harun ur Rashid, 35, of Hajirhat, and bus helper Lal Mia, 30, resident of Sultan Mor area in Rangpur city. The injured were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Our Dinajpur correspondent adds, helper of a potato-laden truck, Razu Ahmed, 18, of village Madhya Gouripara, was killed when the vehicle collided head-on with a coal-loaded truck on Phulbari-Parbatipur road at Mohespur village in Phulbari upazila.
