Registration of 2nd edition going on

The registration for the second edition of knowledge-based reality show titled "Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid (an expert of Bangla)" is going on.

Starting on March 25, the registration process will remain open till April 19 and interested students can register at banglabid.com, said a press release. 

Ispahani Group, one of the largest business conglomerates in the country, is the sponsor of the show, aiming to motivate the young generation to use and practice Bangla language correctly.

The participants in the competition will be screened on their proficiency in spelling, pronunciation and appropriate use of grammar.

The winner will get a scholarship of Tk 10 lakh, and the first and second runners-up will get Tk 3 and Tk 2 lakh respectively. In addition, 10 other winners will receive a laptop each and books worth around Tk 50,000, and bookshelves to create personal libraries.

The aspiring participants, students of classes VII to X from eight divisions, will take part in the competition. After primary selection, selected participants will be brought to Dhaka for studio round at Channel-i.

Later, this contest will be telecast on Channel-i. Winners will be selected after 16 different episodes and exciting competitions.

A panel of experts will be involved in the selection process.
