Regent introduces 3rd domestic destination
Regent Airways, a private airliner in Bangladesh yesterday spread its wings to Saidpur, its third domestic destination, with promises of better services for the people of the northern region.
Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah formally launched the Dhaka-Saidpur route after it landed at the Saidpur Airport.
With a 50-seated Dash-8 Q300 aircraft, the carrier launched its inaugural flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday morning.
In a simple ceremony at the airport building, Chief Executive Officer of Regent Airways, Lt General (retd) M Fazle Akbar said importance of Saidpur and the Northern region have been increased in the recent times due to various importance establishments including Uttora EPZ, Boropukuria coal mine and different development works in the region.
He also promised to give quality and better service on the route to its passengers at a competitive price.
