Rajuk fines 6 landlords

A team of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) yesterday fined six landlords in the capital’s Mirpur a total of Tk 23 lakh for using their parking spaces for commercial purposes.

It also demolished 17 shops constructed illegally on the parking space of a building in Ibrahimpur, said a press release.

Between Mirpur 10 and 14, the team demolished 10 such illegal showrooms and two staircases and imposed the fines. It also asked the authorities of a private bank to shift its booth, which was also illegally built on a parking space, within 15 days.

Executive Magistrate of Rajuk Khondokar Aliur Rahman and Authorised Officer-3 of Rajuk Md Mobarak Hossain led the team.
