Prof Dr Mizanul Haq, former head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, passed away on Friday in a city hospital, aged 64, said a press release.

He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. The veteran physician had also served at Green Life Hospital and Samorita Hospital in the capital. His namaz-e-janaza was held at Green Life Hospital. He will be buried at the Azimpur graveyard. A qulkwani will be held at his residence after the Asr prayers on Friday.
