Prof Ali Akbar passes away

Prof Ali Akbar, former professor of Rajshahi University and a distinguished social worker, passed away at Square Hospital in Dhaka on Friday July 6, said a press release.

He was 78. 

Prof Ali Akbar left behind his wife Ummul Ara Shelly, two sons Prof Fakhrul Alam and Solaiman Alam, four grandchildren and a host of friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He will be buried at his village home in Sakhipur of Shariatpur.
