PM to brief press on India visit
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address a press conference today to brief journalists about the outcomes of her just-concluded visit to Kolkata in India.
The press conference will be held at her official residence Gonobhaban at 4:00pm, said PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to India's West Bengal on May 25 on a two-day official visit. During the visit, Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi jointly inaugurated the Bangladesh Bhaban at Visva-Bharati University at Santiniketan. The two premiers also had a meeting at Bangladesh Bhaban.
Hasina also attended Visva Bharati Convocation ceremony as the guest of honour.
The prime minister received an honorary Degree of Doctor of Literature at Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol.
She also had a meeting with Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banarjee.
Besides, the PM visited historic Jorasanko Thakur Bari, the residence of Rabindranath Tagore, and Netaji Museum in Kolkata.
