Parents killing: HC verdict on Oishee’s plea any day

The High Court will deliver verdict any day on the appeal and death reference of Oishee Rahman, who was sentenced to death for killing her parents.

The HC bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim and Justice Md Jahangir Hossain kept the death reference and appeal of the case waiting for the verdict.

On November 12, 2015, a Dhaka court sentenced Oishee to death after her father CID Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and mother Swapna Rahman were found dead in their Chamelibagh house in Dhaka on August 16, 2013.

Earlier on April 10 this year, the High Court judges quizzed Oishee to observe her mental condition.
