Obituary

Joynal Abedin Tarafder, an artiste, died of cardiac arrest at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) on Tuesday night. He was 65.

He served as the senior designer at the anatomy department under veterinary faculty at Bangladesh Agricultural University.

Joynal obtained his bachelor degree in fine arts from Dhaka University in 1975. He was a student of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, family sources said.

He was the founding principal of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Fine Arts Institute in Mymensingh.
