Woman killed under train

A woman was killed as a train ran her over while she was crossing a rail track in Chattogram city's Akbar Shah area yesterday.

The deceased -- Jesmin Akter, 20, wife of Kabir Hossain from Ramgoti in Laksmipur -- was a cotton factory worker.

Jesmin was going to her workplace in the morning, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Jahidul Islam of Government Railway Police in Chattogram.

Locals rushed her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where she was declared dead.
