2 die in Dhaka road crashes

Two persons were killed in road accidents in Dhaka yesterday.

In Hatirjheel area, Yasin Arafat, 27, a plastic factory worker from Old Dhaka, was seriously injured after a motorbike he was riding hit a road divider.

He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said DMCH police

In another incident, Monir Hossain, 25, a transport worker, was killed as a truck hit from behind another truck he was in.

Monir died instantly after he fell from the truck in Shyampur area, said Kadamtoli Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Jalil.

They seized both the trucks following the incident, said the OC.
