Sector commanders hail EC move

Sector Commanders Forum-Liberation War '71 yesterday lauded the Election Commission (EC) for cancelling the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami.

On October 28, the EC scrapped the registration of Jamaat by issuing a gazette notification in this regard as per the Representation of the People Order, 1972.

In a press statement, the forum termed the initiative a remarkable one for upholding the spirit of the Liberation War.
