Road accidents kill two

Two people were killed in road accidents in two districts yesterday, according to reports by our correspondents.

In Narayanganj, a covered van hit a battery-run rickshaw in Shiddhirganj, killing rickshaw driver Babul Miah, 40, and injuring his two passengers.

Rocky, 22, and Sajib Hossain, 28, were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said police.

In Chapainawabganj town, motorcyclist Torikul Islam, 40, was killed instantly and his co-rider Piyas, 33, injured as a truck hit their bike, said police.
