Poet Emran Mahfuz awarded by West Bengal paper

A West Bengal based literary paper, Jug Shagnik, awarded “Jug Shagnik Akshya Shommanona-2019” to Bangladeshi poet Emran Mahfuz for his poetry book titled “Dirghosthayi Shokshobha” published from Oitijjhya at Ekushey book fair in 2017.

Indranil Sen Gupta, president of Jug Shagnik, handed over a medal and certificate to Emran at a ceremony at Kobita Cafe in the capital's Kataban on February 23.

Oitijjhya has published the third edition of the book at the book fair this year. Emran's other book titled “Abul Mansur Ahmad-er Prashongikota,” is available at the stall of Daily Star Books.
