KU marks 27th anniv
Students, teachers, and employees yesterday celebrated the 27th founding anniversary of Khulna University amid festivity and enthusiasm.
The day began with a colourful procession on campus. A doa mahfil and candlelight vigils were held at Adommo Bangla, Shaheed Minar, and Katka memorial.
In a message on the occasion, VC Prof Dr Mohammad Fayek Uzzaman said the university would face future challenges building on the experience of the past, with an emphasis on improving quality of education and infrastructure.
Marking the university day, students wished continuous prosperity of the institution.
The university started its journey in 1991 with 80 students in four disciplines. Now, it has about 7,000 students in 29 disciplines under six schools and two institutes.
