Five men held with yaba

Detectives arrested five youths and recovered 1,305 yaba pills from their possession in Mymensingh city early yesterday.

The arrestees were identified as Md Sajal Mia, 24, Tuhin Mia, 27, Md Akhtaruzzaman, 24, Md Fazle Rabbi, 25, and Ridoy Al Hasan, 22, all from different areas of Mymensingh, said said Shah Kamal Akanda, officer-in-charge of detective branch (DB) of police, Mymensingh.

Tipped off, a team of detectives arrested the men after conducting a raid at Mashkanda area, police said, adding, they were sent to jail after being produced before a Mymensingh court yesterday.

“The arrestees are accused in several drug related cases”, said the OC.
