Ex-Pirganj municipality mayor Raju passes away

Rajiur Rahman Raju, former mayor of Pirganj municipality, died of a cardiac arrest at his Raghunathpur Munshipara residence in the area of Thakurgaon yesterday. He was 55.

Raju, also president of the municipality unit of BNP, left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn his death.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and several other leaders of socio-political parties expressed deep shock at the death.
