85 Shibir men sued over blast

Police filed a case against 85 Shibir men for exploding crude bombs on the roof of a building in Chattogram on Saturday.

The case filed under the Special Powers Act and Explosives Act named 52 Shibir men including its Chattogram Metropolitan Unit President Abdul Jabbar, and some 30 to 35 unidentified activists, said Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chawkbazar Police Station. 

On Saturday night, three crude bombs exploded on the roof of Al Isra Bhaban housing the Shibir office, during a block raid.

Later, a team of bomb disposal unit found six crude bombs and some other kinds of explosives inside the building.

However, no one was arrested in this connection.
