3 held with 1.7 lakh yaba pills in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three persons with 1.7 lakh yaba pills in Patiya upazila of Chittagong last evening.

The three -- Sharif, 32, Arpan Das, 30, and Sumaiya Akther, 19 -- were heading towards Dhaka from Cox's Bazar.

A team of Rab-7 set up a check post in Shanirhat area in the evening on information that a yaba consignment was coming from Cox's Bazar in a private car, said officials.

The car was also seized.
