Navy seizes boat with 10 Myanmar citizens in Bay

Bangladesh Navy yesterday seized a Myanmar boat with at least 10 of its citizens for illegally entering into Bangladesh through the Bay of Bengal.

The navy also recovered some sharp weapons while carrying out a search in the boat, says a Bangladesh Navy press release.

BNS Abu Bakar seized the boat worth around 1.5 crore one mile away at the south-west corner of the Saint Martin's Island in the bay.

The detained persons and the weapons have been handed over to Teknaf Police Station.
