Muhith opens 11 dev works

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith yesterday inaugurated 11 development projects in Sylhet city and its nearby areas.

The projects include five-storey Bar Hall-5 of Sylhet District Lawyers Samity, Sylhet Government High School at Lakkatura, the Liberation War sculpture “Uddipon” on Sylhet Circuit House premises, Minar at Shahi Eidgah, four roads in the city, new Sylhet Sangskrit College building, new Power Development Board building, Badaghat Polli Bidyut sub-station, Jalalabad Union Parishad Complex, and two new government primary schools.

At the event at Sylhet Judge Court Complex, the minister announced that Sylhet Government High School will have 25 percent quotas for the children of tea garden workers of Sylhet Surma Valley during admission.
