Mercury expected to fall from today

After a rainy spell over the last few weeks, hot and humid weather have been causing sufferings to city dwellers for the last two days.
However, starting today, the weather would be cloudy and rainy, the met office said.
For the last two days, people in the capital experienced high humidity and heat, as the temperature reached up to 36 degrees Celsius. However, the weather cooled down in some parts of Dhaka yesterday, comared to that the day before, as it rained in the northern region.
“The temperature has already decreased, and there would be rainfall from tomorrow all over the country except Chittagong area,” said the forecasting officer at Dhaka met office.
A well-marked low has formed in the Bay and Southwest monsoon will advance up to Teknaf by tomorrow due to the influence of the low, which will cause rainfall and thunderstorm, the met office forecasted. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at some places across the country in the 24 hours ending 9:00am tomorrow.
In some parts of the country, the temperature remained over 36 degrees Celsius yesterday. The maximum temperature was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius yesterday at Satkhira in Khulna division, while the lowest temperature, 21 degrees Celsius, in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
